Awesome Austrian Design from Team 7

Whether it's the Northeastern heat wave or Re-Nest's monthly Travel theme, I've been experiencing something of a jet-setting antsy-ness lately. On Tues, I covered recycled-metal/plastic designs from Used But Useful, a Greek company; today, it's Austria's Team 7 that has my full attention. More on the firm's sustainable furniture below the jump.

Team 7's modern furniture collection is made from wood grown according to the principles of sustainable forest management and is finished with open-pore solvent-free herbal oil. Each piece is handmade to order by a skilled team of craftspeople and designers; the team has earned accolades for their products, environmental practices (which Team 7 embraced as early as 1980) and company model (a family-run business since 1959).

This year, head designed Jacob Strobel introduced the nox line, with woods ranging from wild oak to wild walnut; shown above is the nox bed, which uses no metal parts, the nox chest, which can also be used in the living/dining rooms, and the nox bedside table.
